Horal, a black Dutch Harness Horse stallion, was imported from Holland in July 2002 and almost immediately named Open Fine Harness Champion at the Renai World Championships held in Kentucky in September 2002.
Additionally, following a licensing exam in 2003 for before KWPN judges from The Netherlands, Horal was approved for breeding as a licensed Dutch Harness Horse stallion. As a result, Horal’s offspring now are eligible for inclusion at the highest level within the NA/WPN, the North American Registry for Dutch Harness Horses and in the KWPN, the equivalent registry for Dutch Harness Horses in The Netherlands.
Also during 2003, Horal was nominated to two other registries: the Show Horse Alliance, a new registry created by the National Show Horse Registry to provide another venue for English action performance horses, and the Renai Registry, where he became a Foundation Stallion and a participant in its $84,000 performance payback Stallion Futurity.
Horal’s first few foals born in 2003 following his importation the previous summer, display the qualities of what is to come – extreme elegance and charisma, coupled with conformational strength and performance potential. |
